Product Description

For the application in rough environments all models of the intelligent camera series Areascan ARM/Linux Pro
are protected by an industry-oriented IP67 protective housing. The M12 connectors also conform to the IP67 protection class.

Thanks to the DualCore processor ARM Cortex-A9 with 2 x 866 MHz and integrated FPGA extreme high speeds are achieved in real-time. The operating system used is VC Linux. All camera models provide a battery backed real-time clock.

The FPGA is programmable to achieve higher speed. Due to the programming the image processing can be executed up to 20 times faster than without FPGA support. Appropriate FPGA packs are available und can be implemented on request.

The camera is particularly well suited for automation and robotics applications.

The core of the system is an intelligent board camera of the series VCSBC. The cameras are available with different CMOS sensors from Sony (e.g. Pregius) and Teledyne e2v at different resolutions.

You can choose between various lighting options: white, red, IR and blue. The protective tube around the optics is available with or without light guide. For outdoor applications there is equipment available for shadowing as well as an installation kit.
